The Handlers

Our journey with exotic animals began over 27 years ago, driven by a lifelong passion for animal care, education, and conservation. What started with one very special parrot, Jake - who is now an impressive 32 years old and still very much part of the family - grew into a deep commitment to understanding and working with a wide range of exotic species.
From birds of prey and reptiles to mammals and invertebrates, every animal in our care has been introduced responsibly, following extensive research, hands-on experience, and a strong understanding of animal behaviour and welfare. Sharing this knowledge and passion with others led to the creation of our exotic animal encounters, which we have proudly been delivering for over 17 years.

We’re home to a much-loved and ever-growing animal family, including Arlo and Frodo the meerkats, Skylah and Lily the skunks, Ludo the three-banded armadillo, Nate the Barbary falcon, Amber the yellow-crowned Amazon parrot, alongside a fascinating range of reptiles, mammals, birds, and invertebrates.
Our animals regularly travel across the UK to homes, schools, care homes, corporate events and large or small productions - always with their welfare as our top priority.

What We Do
We provide fun, interactive, and educational exotic animal experiences for:

  • Children’s parties

  • Schools and educational settings

  • Corporate and community events

  • Care homes

  • Phobia and confidence-building sessions

Our talks, lectures, and displays are designed to be informative, engaging, and a little bit silly, making them relatable for both children and adults. Everyone gets the opportunity to learn about our animals, their natural habitats, and the wider world they come from - while developing respect for wildlife and conservation.

Our school sessions, often described as “living education”, offer hands-on workshops covering everything from habitats and nocturnal animals to behaviour and conservation.

Our Values
What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Our animals always come first. We carefully assess their health, behaviour, and comfort before every event, which means the animals attending may vary - ensuring they are always happy, healthy, and stress-free. Education is at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is not only to entertain, but to build understanding, confidence, and respect for animals, while raising awareness of conservation and the impact humans have on the natural world.

We’re approachable, patient, and always happy to answer questions - no matter how big or small. This isn’t just a business to us - it’s a lifelong passion. Our goal is simple: to continue sharing our love for exotic animals, educating others, and inspiring respect for the incredible creatures we’re privileged to care for. We are a none-profit self-funded organisation, meaning all money earned goes back into our animals and their welfare.
